Office of Foreign Assets Control List

What is OFAC?

The Office of Foreign Assets Control ("OFAC") of the US Department of the Treasury administers and enforces economic and trade sanctions based on US foreign policy and national security goals against targeted foreign countries, terrorists, international narcotics traffickers, and those engaged in activities related to the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. OFAC acts under Presidential wartime and national emergency powers, as well as authority granted by specific legislation, to impose controls on transactions and freeze foreign assets under US jurisdiction.

Why is this important?

If you are selling something, and your customer is on the OFAC list, you might be violating the law. The fines for selling to a person or other entity on this list are huge.

Before you check it their credit is good, you can check against our list of known terrorists and black listed people.

How can you benefit from being a subscriber?

Anyone, car dealership, sellers on eBay for instance, that needs to do a credit check will have to pay a fee for that. If you run your customer against our list first, then there is no need for you to do the credit check, saving you hundreds, if not thousands of dollars every year.
We do have an option where you can "pay-as-you-go" but it costs $1.79 for every check.
After payment you will be transferred to a Search Page.

You do not need to have a Paypal account. Click on the link under the Password Entry where it says: "Don't have a PayPal account? Click here" and you can pay with your Credit Card.
